Lacock Madness!

Today was the last day of the christmas fair at Lacock and it was even busier than yesterday, and colder! My feet were frozen by 2pm and even stamping up and down on a scrap piece of carpet didn't help. On a positive note there were lots of interested buyers incuding husbands sneekily buying for their wives for Christmas. I sold the only two adult hats I took with me..note for the next fair! Now full of cold and need whisky and bed.

'Christmas in the Cloisters', Lacock

My mum kindly came down to help on the stall and got fairly carried away with the business of selling!
There has been considerable interest in adult sized cloches at the fair and I have been taking orders for them too. A really lovely venue despite being a little open to the elements!

Preparing for Lacock Cloisters Fair

It's only a couple of weeks until the Lacock Cloisters Christmas Fair where I have a stall and I'm busy finishing various projects to take with me. The sewing room looks like a bomb has gone off...a pretty bomb! I'm making some wired ribbon flowers that I learnt how to create with Tina at 'Bea and Evie' in Frome (see the link at the bottom of the page). Some I'm keeping as corsages and some I've made into little hairclips so hopefully they'll go down well.

Vintage and Handmade Fair Rangeworthy

What a superb fair today, although my husband may not agree due to the amount of money I spent! I've tried to convince him that it was completely necessary...and for the moment I think I'm in the clear. I've finally plucked up the courage to start my own blog after chatting with the lovely lady from 'The Vintage Magpie' stall (thanks). She has the most wonderful stuffed animals and I have brought 'Holly' the rabbit home today along with a very glamorous doll called Pippa from 'A Little Bit Vintage' named after the makers best friend. Eleanor wore her favourite blue cloche today and managed not to lose it! Shopping is a very arduous task so we all stopped for a delicious homemade cake and a cup of tea. Thanks to all involved and hopefully I'll be at the next one with a stall of my own.
